NETLINK 430   Digital Line Test Set

 

In keeping with EDL policy of continuing research and development we are pleased to announce the release of version 5.0 PRODUCT UPDATE for the NETLINK 430 and the release of a new product NETLINKManager (v1.0) application software product.

 

This combination makes the NETLINK 430 test instrument most powerful, easy to use with graphical interface that enables easy access to test/fault reports database.

 

 

 

 

v   NETLINK 430 New Features

Ø      Ability to analyse test data and interpret test results

 

Ø      Additional features that enable PAIR Specific measurements

 

Ø      Built-in calculator that uses the ideal pair parameters and generates a limit template, which can be, stored onboard the instrument.

 

Ø      More storage capacity of up to 10 test results and 3 limit templates.

 

Ø      Bridge Tap Length Test

 

Ø      Integrates to NETLINKManager the PC software application which views NETLINK 430 test results and limit templates.

 

Ø      The user can change and create new limit template parameters in the instrument itself and without downloading or uploading process involved.

 

Ø      The unit stores 3 permanent limit templates and one temporary for active use; the temporary template can be saved in one of the 3 permanent locations.

 

Ø      The user can view the number of available memory locations in the instrument

 

Ø      The user can delete all the test results from the instrument.

 

Ø      If all 10 test results are saved in the instrument, the instrument will overwrite the first one with the new test results once available.

 

v   NETLINKManager Application Software Main Features

 

Ø      All in one software, it handles the test results and limit templates of the instrument, and communicates via the serial port to the NETLINK 430.

 

Ø      The software enables the user to upload and download data to and from the instrument without the need of using HYPERTERMINAL.

 

Ø      All test results and limit templates are stored in a Microsoft® Access compatible database.

 

Ø      Runs on Windows® NT and Windows® 2000 platforms.

 

Ø      Test results can be presented in both table format or graphical format

 

Ø      The user can print the test results if Microsoft® Word is installed or via Microsoft® Access.

 

Ø      The software has a built-in special cable calculator, which stores a number of different pair parameters, to be used for limit template generation.

 

Ø      The software automatically detects the type of data received from the instrument, and forward this data to its appropriate database (test results or limit templates)[i]

 

Ø      Each test results, or limit template is stored with all the necessary information to keep track of that specific results and template, information such as:

o       Date of the data transmission,

o       The name of the operator,

o       Type of the data,

o       The instrument number,

o       And some additional comments.

 

Ø      The NETLINKManager software is compatible with NETLINK 430 V4.1 and NETLINK 430 V5.0.

 

Ø      NETLINKManager will be available with remote control functionalities (v2.0).

 

Ø      The software is extremely easy to use through its self-explanatory screens.

 

 

 

 

Ø      The Test Set instrument increases the productivity of field staff, and reduces the cost of testing.

 

Ø      Ten test results can be stored in the instrument allowing the user to perform a larger number of tests before going back to depot or before downloading to the PC using the NETLINKManager software.

 

Ø      Built-in limit template calculator extracts the parameters from the pair specific physical characteristics entered by the user.

 

 

 

Ø      Integrates fully with NETLINKManager software, which handles test results and limit templates effectively and efficiently.

 

Ø      The user can select any of the 3 limit templates stored on board the NETLINK 430 instrument for "Go-No Go" testing.

 

Ø      The Test Results records and Limit Template records are easily distinguished from the tag that follows each, or simply by using NETLINKManager software, which will automatically forward each test results or template to its appropriate database.

 

Ø      The user can navigate through groups of tests and individual tests with simple key sequence and menu prompts. The user also can navigate through any of the 10 stored test results.

 

Ø      All test results and limit templates can be backed up using the NETLINKManager software for future referencing.

 

The other good news is there is NO COST INCREASE.
